Imagination Yoga on Koin Local 6 News

We recently were featured on Koin Local 6 news! We had the opportunity to meet with news anchor Amy Frazier to discuss how we got a start teaching yoga to kids in the Portland area. The video does a great job describing our mission to inspire kids to move through yoga poses and adventurous stories. We also got to talk about our very important mission to inspire kids, teachers and parents to be "Boldly Kind" to themselves and one another. Check out the video and let us know what you think!

Carden Cascade Imagination Yoga Class

Imagination Yoga Case Study

We had the opportunity to spend an entire day helping tell the Imagination Yoga story to Microsoft in a case study they did of our company. We started the day off with a video crew filming on of our Kids yoga classes in Portland Oregon. Showcasing our work with children, and how we get them to move their bodies while exploring their imaginations through movement and story telling, was a fabulous opportunity and really helped Microsoft understand our mission of insiring kids to move. After the class we spoke with Microsoft about how we've utilized their Office 365 tools to help bring technology into our Yoga business. When people think of a yoga business they typically don't think about technology being a part of it but in the video below we explain get into the details about how the Microsoft tools have helped us to grow our business and become more efficient.

In addition to these write-ups our relationship with Microsoft has helped to spread the word about Imagination Yoga all across the country. Check out the links below for additional posts about our company:

Imagination Yoga's Day with Microsoft Exec Cindy Bates

We recently had the opportunity to take advantage of another great opportunity thanks to us being one of the grand prize winners in the Microsoft Office 365 small business competition. Cindy Bates, Vice President US SMB and Distribution at Microsoft, came to visit us in Portland to help take a look at our business and help us strategize for the future. The day started off with Cindy taking part in an Imagination Yoga class so she could become familiar with both our class but also with how much kids love to take part in an imaginative yoga class led with a story! After the class we started in on our working session and began to take Cindy through the ins-and-outs of our business plan. As the day progressed we began to brainstorm different ideas on how to grow and expand our business in both the short term and the long term. We can't wait to start executing on all the plans and ideas that came out of our great day with Cindy! After our session we've been lucky enough to have our session documented in a couple of different publications. We had a write up in the Business Section of the Oregonian and on the Microsoft Business Blog. Take a look to get a better idea of how our day went and how technology has helped improve our company.

Microsoft Office 365: Ready for Work Contest

In early 2011 the Imagination Yoga team took part in the Office 365: Ready For Work contest. Office 265 is a new cloud based solution for small businesses and they were looking for up and coming businesses that could take advantage of what they had to offer. After a simple submission on Facebook the Imagination Yoga story was entered into contest for the Microsoft team to determine if we were a company with potential. Our story and our company were lucky enough to be selected as one of the 10 finalists in the contest and in the Summer of 2011 Imagination Yoga was selected as a grand prize winner of $50,000. We couldn't be more blessed to have a company like Microsoft recognize our potential and provide us with such a gift! We can't wait to make the most of the opportunity and take our business to the next level.
